Pints & Punches was my main focus in the 2nd quarter of 2014, after the deadline of this project we pitched again. Resulting in our team being able to work on the project for another 4 months, this time as an innovative gameplay project. Platforming and beat ‘m up being the core gameplay elements we designed a beer mug as a controller, allowing players to interact with one another. During this project I was not only assigned to program the game, but also design and tinker the hardware, this was my first interaction with Arduino.
Since the game would be played in a bar environment we’ve had some design obstacles as sound, space and feedback. For work with Arduino and multiple sensors we ported the whole game from Monogame to Unity and made it better, faster and juicier.
